What you'll do

• Under supervision, learn professional phone etiquette and patient scheduling
• use MEDENT electronic health record basics
• perform patient check-in and check-out
• help manage patient flow and waiting areas
• handle front-desk tasks including faxing, copying, and filing
• learn medical terminology, psychiatric services, insurance billing and coding, and HIPAA privacy
• complete orientation, shadowing, and supervised practice
• meet the 600-hour completion requirement.
