The Field Technician role is an onsite position based in Wilmington, DE, with a starting salary of $20.00 per hour. This role exists to support field operations by performing quality control testing and site observations. It contributes to the team by ensuring compliance with project specifications and maintaining accurate documentation for geotechnical and construction projects.

What you'll do

• Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects.
• Review activities and provide oversight on a variety of construction projects within the fields of geotechnical engineering and construction.
• Field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, concrete masonry, and steel construction.
• Review, understand, and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs.
• Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms.
• Recordkeeping and maintenance of testing equipment.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

1 or more years of experience with collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples and 1 or more years working in construction.
