Telecommunications Cabling Technician

Job overview

The Telecommunications Cabling Technician role is onsite in the Merrimack, NH area, with daily travel to jobsites. Starting pay is $18–$35 per hour, based on experience. MTS Services installs structured cabling for healthcare, commercial, education, mission-critical, and government facilities. Technicians install and test copper and fiber-optic cabling systems, helping deliver reliable information and communications technology infrastructure. The role works with a project foreman and team to complete installations safely and to industry standards.

What you'll do

• Install copper and fiber-optic structured cabling
• pull, fire-stop, dress, and label cables
• terminate connectors
• test and troubleshoot copper and fiber cables
• read blueprints
• install racks, patch panels, backboards, and related closet hardware
• attend training and safety meetings and use required personal protective equipment.
