Field Service Technician — Industrial Process Equipment

Job overview

The Field Service Technician works onsite at customer facilities and serves Macon, GA and surrounding areas. Compensation is not specified. The position is full-time, with Monday–Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime and weekend work may be required, and travel is up to 75% of the time. Carotek, a SunSource company, provides process equipment solutions and service across several southeastern states. The technician commissions, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial process equipment to meet customer requirements. The role also evaluates installations, diagnoses equipment issues, recommends corrective actions, and trains customer representatives in equipment use and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation and equipment
• inspect and test installations
• document findings and discuss them with customers or sales representatives
• replace or repair defective parts
• advise on installation requirements
• coordinate with technicians, manufacturers’ representatives, and customers
• train customer representatives.
