What you'll do

• Assist with basic activities of daily living.
• Maintain a direct line of sight with patient at all times, including while family and visitors are in the room.
• Accompany patients and ensure patient safety during transportation, testing, and procedures occurring away from the patient’s normal environment.
• Establish a safe, risk-free patient environment by utilizing knowledge of fall prevention protocols, infection control measures, and self-harm prevention.
• You will perform room assessment regularly and after any visitations.
• Monitor your patients’ physical and emotional condition.
• You will also report any changes in status promptly while remaining direct line of sight with the patient.
• Intervene as needed to prevent patient your patients’ from harming self or others seeking immediate assistance for escalating incidents.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Graduate / GED

Experience

One year experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Current AHA (American Heart Association) BLS (Basic Life Support) required on all clinical nursing units.
