The Captain, Pirate Water Taxi role is an onsite position in Tampa, FL, at 333 S Franklin Street. Pay is $25 per hour. Manthey Hospitality’s Pirate Water Taxi connects riders to waterfront destinations and provides daily transportation, private charters, and special-event experiences. The captain is responsible for safe vessel operations, passenger and crew safety, and onboard leadership. The role supports reliable transportation and guest experiences by navigating established routes, directing deckhands, and maintaining vessel readiness and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Operate vessels in accordance with USCG regulations, company procedures, and established routes
• maintain command and ensure passenger and crew safety
• navigate, dock, and maneuver in varying conditions
• lead deckhands during operations, boarding, docking, and emergencies
• conduct inspections, safety checks, drills, and documentation
• oversee passenger boarding and disembarking
• report maintenance or safety concerns
• maintain cleanliness and readiness
• support routine vessel operations and guest interactions.

Why this role

Requires a valid USCG Captain’s License appropriate for the vessels and current required credentials and endorsements. Commercial passenger-vessel experience is preferred. Schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
