The Machinist, Second Shift role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Pay is $24–$28 per hour, plus a $2-per-hour shift differential. The position is part of the Machining team at ELECTRIC MACHINERY COMPANY, a division of WEG Electric Corp. The machinist sets up and operates CNC and manual equipment to produce quality parts within close tolerances. The work supports manufacturing quality and safety standards through machining, equipment upkeep, documentation, and continuous-improvement efforts.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce parts within tolerance
• lay out parts and check locations and work offsets
• read routing information
• coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering on setup, machining, and tooling
• perform preventive maintenance
• deburr and clean parts
• complete quality-assurance and customer documentation
• maintain a clean work area
• move materials using appropriate equipment
• follow ISO 9001, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
