Water/Wastewater Design Engineer

The Water/Wastewater Design Engineer role is onsite in Knoxville, TN. Compensation is not specified. The engineer plans and designs treatment and collection or distribution systems, producing technical designs and hydraulic modeling that help clients address infrastructure needs and make informed investments. The role may also involve project management and coordination across disciplines and consultants.

What you'll do

• Develop designs, plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and water or wastewater storage and conveyance systems
• perform or manage engineering and process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment projects
• coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants
• create, calibrate, modify, and perform hydraulic modeling and communicate results
• assist project managers with staff allocation
• prepare or review specifications and estimates
• meet with clients and perform business development duties.
