Field Service Technician, Automation

The Field Service Technician, Automation role is an onsite, full-time position based in Lansing, MI, with regular travel within assigned territories and occasional overnight stays. Pay is $30 per hour. The role supports customers using Amada Automation Systems and core machines. The technician installs, services, and trains customers on automation equipment, helping them operate and maintain systems throughout machine ownership. Troubleshooting and repair across mechanical, fluid, electrical, control, and network systems support reliable customer operations.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control, and network systems
• follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation
• complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports
• manage equipment installation at customer sites
• provide operational, applications, software, programming, and customer training
• use Amada applications software for line control and part programming
• and travel routinely within assigned territories.
