The Public Safety Officer works onsite in Washington, DC, on a Saturday–Wednesday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Compensation is $21.40–$22.64 per hour. SOME supports vulnerable neighbors through programs addressing poverty and homelessness. This role helps maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across SOME facilities. The officer monitors assigned areas, responds to safety concerns, supports security procedures, and assists with facility operations.

What you'll do

• Provide security inside and outside SOME facilities
• de-escalate conflicts
• document incidents and maintain a daily security log
• contact police when needed
• monitor cameras and building perimeters
• make facility rounds
• assist Emergency Services
• notify facilities of urgent issues
• enforce rules consistently.
