What you'll do

• Place accurate and timely purchase orders for assigned suppliers, items, or categories
• consider supplier constraints, minimums, lead times, and business requirements
• adjust orders to meet minimums while avoiding unnecessary purchasing
• identify and escalate purchase-order issues
• support seasonal, one-time, dual-source, kitting, and new-item buying processes as applicable
• optimize freight
• monitor alerts and take action to mitigate stock-outs
• follow up on open buying tasks and communicate inventory risks and resolution options.
