What you'll do

• Identify patients
• assemble supplies and equipment
• prioritize stat, timed, and routine collections
• select an appropriate venipuncture method
• draw and process specimens using proper techniques
• follow order-of-draw and safety procedures
• label and deliver samples
• answer patient questions and provide aftercare information
• maintain records, confidentiality, and a clean work area
• monitor patients and equipment
• collect and process COVID-19 tests.
