Lead Cashier

Job overview

The Lead Cashier position is onsite in Portage, MI, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; hours may vary for catering events. Pay is $17–$18 per hour. CulinArt manages dining facilities and aims to provide high-quality dining service to clients and guests. The role supports guest service and front-end operations by overseeing cashier transactions and daily cashier activities, helping maintain accurate cash controls and a smooth service experience.

What you'll do

• Greet guests and provide service
• oversee and authorize returns, exchanges, credits, and point-of-sale transactions
• help train cashiers and cross-train associates
• assist with deposits, change, and media
• support loss prevention and policy compliance
• oversee cashier productivity, breaks, and scheduling
• maintain front-end supplies
• assist with housekeeping, displays, replenishment, and cashier coverage.
