Railcar Repair Technician

The Railcar Repair Technician role is onsite in Northumberland, PA, and pays $21.58–$34 per hour. What you'll do

• Inspect freight railcars for mechanical defects, damage, or wear
• perform minor running repairs, including replacing brake shoes, adjusting rigging, repairing safety appliances, and replacing gaskets or fittings
• document defects and determine whether cars can remain in service or must be bad ordered
• complete inspection and repair records and defect tags
• operate repair tools and equipment
• coordinate with railroad personnel
• maintain tools and work areas
• follow safety procedures, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout when necessary.

Why this role
