Athletic/Personal Trainer — Functional Restoration Program

Job overview

The Athletic/Personal Trainer role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; compensation is $25–$30 per hour. The trainer supports Boomerang Healthcare’s Functional Restoration Program for pain management.

What you'll do

• Assist physical therapists or chiropractors with individual and group treatment plans
• educate patients on exercises and functional activities
• reinforce the biopsychosocial treatment model
• collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and share observations in weekly conferences
• document observations in electronic records
• conduct aftercare groups
• lead specialty classes such as yoga, nutrition, or wellness when aligned with additional skills
• provide guidance to other program trainers
• support patients with workers’ compensation education and assistance as applicable.
