The Mold Maker – First Shift role is an onsite, full-time position in Auburn Hills, MI. Pay is $34 per hour. The role supports an industry-leading tooling company serving major automotive manufacturers and suppliers. The mold maker builds, repairs, and maintains thermoplastic and thermoset injection molds. Through machining, troubleshooting, assembly, and coordination with design and programming teams, the role contributes to high-quality tooling production.

What you'll do

• Build, repair, and maintain plastic injection molds
• disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble molds
• operate machine shop equipment
• perform lathe work, milling, surface grinding, sharpening, polishing, and welding
• troubleshoot mold issues on the production floor and during concept review
• maintain hot runners and troubleshoot electrical issues
• read CAD mold and part designs
• use inspection tools
• collaborate with design and programming teams.

Why this role
