Registered School Nurse

What you'll do

• Assess and evaluate student health
• conduct appropriate screenings and review immunization status
• maintain health records and obtain examination records
• follow up on screening results and health concerns
• visit classrooms
• coordinate with physicians, dentists, agencies, and community resources
• provide emergency care
• teach CPR and first aid to staff
• advise staff, parents, and students on health and safety
• attend IEP meetings and prepare health reports
• write health care plans as needed
• conduct requested in-service programs
• follow up on student absences
• maintain confidentiality.
