The Cook, Part-Time and Relief role is onsite in Sioux Falls, SD. Compensation is $17.75–$22.84 per hour. This relief position is scheduled for 15–20 hours per week with variable hours based on center needs, including Saturday and Sunday shifts from 5:00–10:00 a.m. and 2:00–7:00 p.m. Dismas Charities provides community-based adult re-entry programs and services intended to help people heal and return as productive, responsible citizens. The cook prepares meals and manages food-service operations for the center, maintaining approved menus, inventory, sanitation, and required records. The work supports residents and the center’s ongoing services through safe, compliant meal preparation.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to dietitian-approved menus and applicable standards
• notify the Director and residents of menu substitutions
• manage food and equipment inventory and ordering
• maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas
• keep required food-service records
• follow facility procedures and policies
• work assigned schedules and attend required on-site or business-related meetings.
