Principal Software Engineer

Job overview

The Principal Software Engineer role is onsite in White Plains, NY; compensation is stated as a base salary up to $200,000, commensurate with experience. OnMed’s CareStation combines technology-enabled and human-delivered healthcare to expand access to care. As the senior-most individual technical contributor, this role owns architecture across applications, services, data, and cloud infrastructure, helping the team deliver reliable features across the CareStation fleet. The engineer also sets technical standards, addresses complex engineering risks, and mentors colleagues while partnering with product, clinical, and hardware teams.

What you'll do

• Own full-stack architecture for patient- and clinician-facing applications, services, APIs, data models, and cloud infrastructure
• lead technical and design reviews
• establish AI-aided development practices and review standards
• address scalability, security, data integrity, and performance risks
• improve testing, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and deployment practices
• build security and privacy into system design
• mentor engineers
• partner with Product, Clinical, and Hardware teams.
