What you'll do

• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals and authorizations
• document insurer communications
• enter accurate patient demographics and insurance payors
• schedule appointments, prioritize referrals, arrange emergency add-ons, send reminders, track cancellations and no-shows, and complete registration and check-in
• coordinate procedure results with physicians and referring facilities
• answer and route calls
• perform correspondence, filing, faxing, and mailing
• maintain medical-supply inventory
• assist with procedure scheduling and patient transport
• participate in community education.
