Software Technical Lead

The Software Technical Lead role is onsite in Dayton, OH, and is contingent upon contract award. Compensation is $140,000–$175,000 per year. The role joins nou Systems’ Technical Solutions Division and Skyfall Team, supporting modernization of a customer database and development of analytic user interfaces for mission applications. The lead directs software engineering, data architecture, and system integration work to improve intelligence data production, storage, dissemination, and exploitation. The role also guides modernization, testing, technical collaboration, documentation, and junior engineer development to support reliable mission applications.

What you'll do

• Lead software modernization focused on performance and scalability
• oversee data migration and compatibility and functional testing
• direct modern UI/UX design and development
• coordinate with infrastructure, database, and UI engineers
• provide code review feedback
• participate in agile development
• identify reusable components and services
• improve reliability and maintainability through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• mentor junior engineers
• document code and system architecture
• debug services and implement fixes
• communicate technical tradeoffs, progress, risks, and mitigations to program and government stakeholders.
