The Class A CDL Local Container Truck Driver role is onsite in Charleston, South Carolina, with orientation held onsite in North Charleston. Starting pay is $25 per hour. GAATCO’s dedicated container drayage work moves shipping containers from Charleston-area port terminals to customers and returns empty containers. The driver handles local container deliveries using day-cab equipment and container chassis, with no-touch freight and daily home time. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 5:00 a.m., with occasional Saturday work, generally about once per month.

What you'll do

• Pick up loaded shipping containers from port terminals in the Charleston area, deliver them to customers, and return empty containers
• operate day-cab equipment and container chassis
• perform local work within approximately 150 miles of Charleston
• meet Class A CDL, experience, hazmat endorsement, TWIC card, and safe-driving requirements.
