What you'll do
- Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders.
- Provide substitute teaching coverage.
- Potentially teach one class or small groups.
- Plan and deliver instruction, gradually taking on more responsibility.
- Develop teaching skills for full-time roles.
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring.
- Observe Master Teachers to improve techniques and management.
- Meet regularly with a coach for feedback.
- Teach or coordinate an Enrichment class.
- Assist teachers with instruction, assessments, and grading.
- Implement curricula and activities.
- Design and implement assessments.
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum.
- Participate in collaborative development and school functions.
- Provide behavior rewards/consequences.
- Serve as an advisor.
- Co-lead advisory/homeroom.
- Supervise students during transitions.
- Be accountable for student mastery.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in staff orientation.

- Experience
- Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities is preferred but not required.
