What you'll do

• Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders.
• Provide substitute teaching coverage.
• Potentially teach one class or small groups.
• Plan and deliver instruction, gradually taking on more responsibility.
• Develop teaching skills for full-time roles.
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring.
• Observe Master Teachers to improve techniques and management.
• Meet regularly with a coach for feedback.
• Teach or coordinate an Enrichment class.
• Assist teachers with instruction, assessments, and grading.
• Implement curricula and activities.
• Design and implement assessments.
• Use assessment data to refine curriculum.
• Participate in collaborative development and school functions.
• Provide behavior rewards/consequences.
• Serve as an advisor.
• Co-lead advisory/homeroom.
• Supervise students during transitions.
• Be accountable for student mastery.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in staff orientation.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree.

Experience

Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities is preferred but not required.
