The Athletic Official — Basketball role is onsite in Bend, OR, officiating grades 3–5 games at middle schools. Compensation is paid per game: $18 for a youth double assignment or $27 for a youth solo assignment. Bend Metro and Park Recreation District provides sports officials for competitions in a fun, competitive, and safe environment. The official applies and enforces basketball rules to support fair play and player safety. The role also requires communication with coaches, participants, parents or guardians, and district staff, along with required training and reporting.

What you'll do

• Enforce sports policies and playing rules

• complete reports and paperwork
• identify and report facility safety hazards
• communicate with coaches, participants, parents or guardians, and district staff
• attend officials training clinics
• complete annual concussion training and mandatory reporting training.
