The Substation Construction and Maintenance Planner III role is onsite in Greenville, SC, with compensation of $40–$46 per hour. K&A Power Group provides engineering, consulting, project management, construction management, and EPC services for power utility and industrial clients. The planner develops safe, executable work plans and coordinates complex substation construction and maintenance activities. The role supports project execution by aligning schedules, outages, clearances, technical requirements, and safety procedures across utility teams.

What you'll do

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule substation construction and maintenance
• develop work plans, construction sequences, outage plans, and temporary facility plans
• coordinate with Transmission, Distribution, and Generation teams
• review switching plans, isolation procedures, and clearance documentation
• support execution strategies
• lead planning calls
• identify and mitigate risks
• interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• ensure compliance with safety requirements, operating procedures, and NERC standards
• maintain planning records and provide technical guidance.
