Job overview

The Project Engineer – Civil Engineering role is onsite in Spartanburg, SC; compensation is not specified. SeamonWhiteside’s civil engineering and landscape architecture teams work on land design projects across public and private sectors. The engineer is accountable for the success of assigned civil engineering projects, coordinating design deliverables, budgets, schedules, clients, permitting agencies, and project resources. The role also supports construction administration, quality reviews, field issue resolution, and mentorship of project engineers and civil designers.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate with clients on requirements, deliverables, regulations, schedules, and deadlines
  • attend project coordination meetings
  • prepare permitting submittal packages, technical specifications, and reports
  • assist with due diligence and bid reviews
  • coordinate workloads
  • make engineering design decisions
  • support construction administration and closeout
  • resolve field issues with clients, contractors, and agencies
  • review design work for quality
  • mentor colleagues.
