The Cable Assembler role is onsite in Kyle, TX, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. Openwork is recruiting for a leading aerospace manufacturer in South Austin. The assembler builds cable harnesses and wiring assemblies to engineering specifications, supporting aerospace and defense applications. The role contributes to production quality through precise fabrication, testing, documentation, and coordination with production, engineering, and quality teams.

What you'll do

• Build cable harnesses, wire bundles, and electrical assemblies
• interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly drawings
• solder, crimp, and splice to J-STD-001 standards
• use hand tools and specialized equipment
• test harnesses for continuity and resistance
• document work and discrepancies
• collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams.
