Electrical Engineer — Utility-Scale Solar, Renewable Energy and BESS

The Electrical Engineer — Utility-Scale Solar, Renewable Energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) role is hybrid, based in St. Petersburg, FL, with approximately three days per week onsite at active project locations and frequent travel throughout Florida. Compensation is $45–$70 per hour. The role supports utility-scale renewable energy projects from initiation through construction and commissioning.

What you'll do

• Provide engineering support across the lifecycle of utility-scale solar and BESS projects
• review designs, specifications, drawings, submittals, and contractor deliverables
• support development, design, construction, commissioning, and turnover
• coordinate technical matters among project stakeholders
• resolve execution, schedule, cost, and quality issues
• visit sites to monitor construction and troubleshoot
• assess design alternatives
• support scope, risk, constructability, and estimates
• ensure applicable code and standards compliance
• review RFIs and field changes
• support operational readiness and safety.
