Services Assistant

Job overview

The Services Assistant role is onsite in Belcourt, ND, with a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Kalix programs across its vocational and residential divisions. The assistant gains experience across agency programs while completing training, work assignments, and special projects. The role supports agency operations and employee development, with assignments based on agency needs and the employee’s development.

What you'll do

• Observe and learn about vocational and residential programs and other agency areas, including quality assurance, behavior services, and nursing
• attend in-service training
• lead assigned special projects
• complete module, NSO, medication, and CPR/first-aid certifications
• provide on-call support when needed
• temporarily or permanently cover for a program director or other employee during a vacancy
• complete the Developmental Disabilities module certification through NDCPD within the first year
• undertake light travel if required.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in a human services field, Developmental Disabilities module certification, and at least one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities are preferred. Light travel may be required; on-call support is provided when needed.
