Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Miami, FL, with pay of $18–$21 per hour. Puyana Plastic Surgery is a growing aesthetic plastic surgery practice, and the role works closely with the surgeon. The assistant supports patients throughout the surgical journey, from pre-operative consultations and procedures through post-operative follow-up. The role includes clinical preparation and documentation, care coordination, patient education, and, as appropriate and compliant, social media support and content creation.

What you'll do

• Assist the surgeon during pre-operative consultations, post-operative follow-ups, and in-office procedures
• perform real-time medical scribing and maintain EMR documentation
• prepare patients and obtain vitals and medical histories
• coordinate pre-operative labs and testing
• ensure pre-op documentation, consents, and clearances are complete
• provide post-operative instructions and reinforce wound care, medications, restrictions, and follow-up schedules
• follow up with patients
• perform pre-consultation assessments for virtual consults
• cross-train in clinic responsibilities
• assist with social media support and content creation as appropriate and compliant.
