Portage Point Partners provides integrated professional services to middle-market clients; its Delivery Enablement team supports internal stakeholders across the firm’s practices. As the firm’s senior legal advisor, the General Counsel will build and lead the legal function as the business grows across practices, offices, and geographies. The role oversees legal, regulatory, risk, and compliance matters and advises executive leadership while enabling client work and managing firm risk.

What you'll do

• Advise the CEO, Board, sponsor, and executive leadership on legal and governance matters. Own client contracting frameworks and risk-based approval standards
• oversee regulatory compliance, including broker-dealer and FINRA obligations, independence and conflicts, privacy, and cross-border requirements
• manage disputes and outside counsel
• advise on employment, partner and equity matters, acquisitions, office openings, and entity structuring
• lead training and support talent acquisition and firm-building.
