What you'll do

  • Assess students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • develop and implement IEPs
  • adapt curriculum and teaching strategies
  • provide individual and small-group instruction
  • document progress toward IEP goals
  • collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
  • guide classroom aides and paraprofessionals
  • participate in IEP meetings and student reviews
  • communicate with parents and guardians.
