Maintenance Technician III

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician III role is onsite in Washington, DC, with compensation of $32 to $37 per hour. The position supports maintenance operations at an assigned Horning residential property. The senior multi-trade technician independently handles complex repairs, helps keep preventive maintenance and unit-turn programs on schedule, and mentors junior technicians. The role also provides working-lead coverage when the Maintenance Supervisor is absent and participates in the on-call rotation.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and complete advanced repairs across multiple trades
• lead vacant-unit turns and inspect completed units
• execute and refine preventive maintenance routines
• mentor Maintenance Technician I and II staff
• coordinate and inspect vendor work
• serve as a working lead when needed
• communicate with residents and follow safety and compliance requirements
• participate in the on-call rotation.
