The Mold Maker role is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. Compensation is up to $34 per hour. The role supports an industry-leading tooling company serving major automotive manufacturers and suppliers. The mold maker builds, repairs, and maintains thermoplastic and thermoset injection molds. The work includes machining, troubleshooting, assembly, inspection, and collaboration with design and programming teams to support high-quality tooling production.

What you'll do

• Build, repair, and maintain injection molds
• disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble molds
• operate in-house machine shop equipment
• perform lathe work, milling, surface grinding, tool sharpening, polishing, and welding
• maintain hot runners and troubleshoot electrical issues
• read CAD mold and part designs
• use inspection tools
• collaborate with design and programming teams
• may mentor apprentices.
