The Surgical Podiatrist role is onsite in Houston, TX, serving the community at one of Balance Health’s clinics. Compensation is a base salary of $150,000–$600,000 per year plus a percentage of net collections. Balance Health describes itself as a podiatrist-owned practice focused on comprehensive lower-extremity care. The podiatrist diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the feet and ankles, including performing surgery and wound care as needed. The role also provides preventive guidance, treatment recommendations, patient education, and consultation to support patient care.

What you'll do

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting feet and ankles
• perform surgical procedures and wound care as needed
• diagnose foot and ankle diseases and deformities using histories, examinations, imaging, and laboratory results
• prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• advise patients on treatment and prevention
• educate and consult with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• maintain medical records.

Why this role

Requires a current Texas podiatrist license, a doctoral degree in podiatric medicine, and board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Three years of professional experience is preferred.
