Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist — Weekend Shift

The Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist role is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, on a Friday–Sunday weekend shift. Pay is $36–$48 per hour; optional overtime is available. The role supports precision manufacturing for aerospace, defense, medical-device, and other high-precision industries. The machinist develops and proves out new machining processes, launches products, resolves complex machining challenges, and establishes repeatable production systems. The role also helps train junior machinists and transfer reliable processes to production teams.

What you'll do

• Lead setup and prove-out of new machining projects
• independently complete complex 5-axis setups
• develop fixturing, tooling, and workholding strategies
• optimize processes for repeatable production
• perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues
• support robotic cells and lights-out manufacturing
• document and transfer processes to production
• improve machining performance and cycle times
• support and mentor less experienced machinists as needed.
