Facilities Specialist

The Facilities Specialist role is onsite in Farwell, MI; pay is $17.43 per hour. The position supports Mid Michigan Community Action Agency’s program sites, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. The role exists to keep agency facilities safe, functional, clean, and compliant. The specialist performs and coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance, monitors contractors, supports sanitation and facility operations, and assists agency staff and volunteers with facility-related needs.

What you'll do

• Schedule and complete maintenance and repairs at program sites
• support preventive maintenance
• inspect facilities and identify safety or operational concerns
• repair building systems and fixtures
• maintain heating and cooling systems
• assist with water-well inspections and playground maintenance
• manage supply inventory
• support sanitation and custodial work
• secure the administrative building and maintain key inventory
• assist with event setup
• oversee contractor work
• train workers and volunteers on facility procedures
• teach, test, and certify workers in safe forklift operation.
