The Veterinary Technician Student Externship is an onsite opportunity in Asheville, NC. This is an unpaid externship. Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) operates emergency veterinary hospitals and describes its mission as helping people and their pets when they need it most. The program gives enrolled veterinary technology or nursing students hands-on exposure to emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care while practicing school-required skills with mentorship.

What you'll do

• Learn alongside credentialed emergency veterinary technicians
