Assistant Marine Mechanic

The Assistant Marine Mechanic works onsite in Lake Hopatcong, NJ, supporting the Lead Technicians and Service Department. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. Bridge Marina supports boaters with marine service and other boating experiences. The role assists with boat repair and maintenance so service guests and the marina fleet can be used safely. Working under technician supervision while developing skills, the assistant handles basic mechanical tasks, boat care, and marina equipment and work-area upkeep.

What you'll do

• Use tools to remove and replace parts and perform basic maintenance and repairs
• change parts such as batteries, spark plugs, filters, and propellers under supervision and, as skills develop, independently
• assist with oil changes and fluid exchanges
• clean, buff, and bottom-paint boats
• help move, haul, launch, block, and trailer boats
• follow safety procedures
• report inventory shortages
• document assigned work
• maintain tools, equipment, work areas, and company vehicles.
