Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist role is primarily office-based in Honolulu, HI, during standard business hours, with occasional overtime during closing, audits, and other peak periods. The role does this through timely billing and payment processing, account reconciliation, collections, discrepancy resolution, reporting, and assistance with financial close and audits.

What you'll do

• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• process and apply customer payments
• prepare and reconcile cash receipts and bank deposits
• maintain customer account records
• monitor aging and follow up on overdue balances
• investigate billing discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and unapplied cash
• process approved credit memos, adjustments, and refunds
• coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations
• recommend credit holds or releases under company policy
• reconcile the accounts receivable subledger to the general ledger
• prepare journal entries, reports, and audit documentation
• assist with month-end and year-end closing.
