The Major Gifts Officer is an onsite role based in Houston, TX, with a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 per year. This position supports the American National Red Cross by driving major gift fundraising and deepening relationships with individual donors across the Greater Houston and Gulf Coast Region. This role exists to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors at the $5,000+ level. The officer builds a robust donor pipeline, develops customized engagement strategies, and mobilizes philanthropic support, particularly during times of disaster response to ensure the organization meets its mission-critical goals.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with leadership to create and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan.
• Lead the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors capable of giving $5,000 or more annually.
• Mobilize donors quickly and effectively during disaster relief efforts.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce to support effective prospecting and stewardship.
