The Early Head Start Infant-Toddler Childcare Teacher Associate works onsite in Miami, FL, on a year-round schedule, Monday through Friday, mostly 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Compensation is $16.89 per hour. The role supports the Gerry Sweet Center’s Early Head Start classroom for children from infancy through age three. This role provides nurturing, developmentally appropriate care and learning activities for infants and toddlers. It helps maintain a supportive classroom, build relationships with children and parents, and encourage parent participation in children’s learning.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate care and learning activities for infants and toddlers
• maintain the classroom and its equipment and supplies
• coordinate community resources
• encourage parent participation
• assist with transitions and field trips
• support cleanup and follow universal precautions
• maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Why this role

Requires FCCPC Birth–Five or Infant-Toddler CDA certification and DCF Staff Verification Birth–Five; DCF 45-hour training, high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of childcare experience are also required.
