Paramedic

Job overview

The Paramedic role is onsite in New York, NY; compensation is $35–$38 per hour. Midwood Ambulance states that quality patient care is its primary goal. The paramedic provides advanced life support and patient care during ambulance response and transport. The role also maintains ambulance readiness, equipment and supply compliance, accurate patient-care records, and communication with dispatch and receiving facilities.

What you'll do

• Respond to calls as directed by dispatch
• provide patient care under New York State and regional ALS protocols
• monitor patients during transport and adjust care as conditions change
• transport patients to assigned rooms or residences
• complete patient-care records and company paperwork
• communicate destination changes
• inspect, clean, stock, and prepare the ambulance and equipment
• maintain ALS supplies and drugs in accordance with applicable regulations
• complete required in-service training and maintain certifications.
