Civil Engineer in Training, Land Development

Job overview

The Civil Engineer in Training, Land Development role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $33–$40 per hour. The engineer supports RICK’s land development department and works with a multidisciplinary team on projects in the Phoenix region. The role develops civil engineering plans and analyses for site development, drainage, and water and sewer systems. It contributes to construction documents and technical reports while building qualifying experience toward Professional Engineer licensure with mentorship and training.

What you'll do

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans. Perform stormwater calculations and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling
• assist with retention, storm drainage, and conveyance channel design
• research codes and prepare drainage reports. Assist with public and private water and sewer system design, sewer capacity analysis, WaterCAD models, and basis-of-design reports. Maintain quality control checklists and work toward Professional Engineer licensure.

Why this role
