The Coax Sweeper role is an onsite field position based in Villa Ridge, MO, with work in assigned markets. Pay is $24–$35 per hour. The role supports Sunrise Telecom’s Field Operations / Telecommunications department and maintenance of HFC networks. The Coax Sweeper maintains and optimizes coaxial distribution systems by sweeping and balancing network paths, identifying signal impairments, and troubleshooting plant performance. This work helps ensure network performance meets customer and company standards.

What you'll do

• Perform forward- and return-path sweep and balance
• troubleshoot signal impairments, noise, ingress/egress, and plant performance issues
• interpret system maps, prints, and design documentation
• use sweep gear, meters, leakage detectors, and other test equipment
• adjust amplifiers, equalizers, pads, and related equipment
• perform preventive maintenance and network optimization
• document work
• follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and emergency restoration as needed.

Why this role

Requires 3+ years of telecommunications or cable industry experience and experience with the Viavi Solutions ONX 630 meter. On-call rotations, overtime, and emergency restoration may be required as needed.
