Activity Aide is an onsite role in Carson City, MI. Pay is $15 per hour. The position supports activity programming for residents at The Laurels of Carson City, part of Ciena Healthcare, a provider of skilled nursing, subacute, rehabilitative and assisted living services. The aide helps facilitate activities that reflect residents’ interests and support their physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. By assisting residents with participation, recording attendance and sharing feedback with supervisors, the role helps foster community and belonging.

What you'll do

• Facilitate planned activity programs
• assist or escort residents to activities and outings
• maintain rapport with families
• record resident attendance and participation
• provide input on resident participation when requested
• communicate resident concerns and responses to supervisors
• support residents’ preferences and routines
• assist volunteers and volunteer programs at the Activity Director’s request
• clean activity materials and equipment
• and participate in long-term care survey, regulatory and accreditation processes.
