Solid Waste Worker – Flex Pool

Job overview

The Solid Waste Worker – Flex Pool position is onsite in Burlington, NC. Pay is $15–$16 per hour. The role contributes to community cleanliness and sustainability through solid waste and recycling collection. Working as needed on a crew, the worker collects garbage, trash, yard waste, and recyclables, helps dispose of waste at the landfill, and maintains collection areas, trucks, and tools. Safe and efficient collection supports proper handling of community waste.

What you'll do

• Perform manual collection of garbage, trash, and yard waste
• work with a crew to load debris, furniture, and appliances
• clean around cans and pick up loose or spilled litter
• assist with landfill disposal
• clean and maintain trucks and tools
• collect curbside solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables
• maintain safety for self and coworkers.
