Swim Team Assistant Coach

The Swim Team Assistant Coach role is onsite in Butler, PA, with daytime, evening, and weekend hours and travel to program activity sites. Pay is $12 per hour. The role supports the Butler County Family YMCA's work to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The assistant coach leads assigned practices and lessons, teaches stroke skills, and provides constructive feedback to swimmers. The role helps promote skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive swim team environment while supporting pool safety and program operations.

What you'll do

• Lead assigned group practices
• instruct swim lessons and stroke clinics
• greet swimmers before practice
• assist with swim meets as deemed necessary by the Head Swim Coach
• communicate with the Head Swim Coach and Aquatics Director
• provide constructive technique feedback
• maintain group structure and discipline
• engage parents
• assist with pool equipment, safety, inventory, and cleanliness
• follow YMCA policies and emergency procedures.

Why this role
