Developmental Specialist

The Developmental Specialist role is onsite in Hyannis, MA. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The specialist supports participants in Cape Abilities’ day habilitation program. The role helps participants develop independent living, self-management, social, and community skills while supporting their choices and service goals. Coordinating activities and working with families, providers, and the interdisciplinary team contributes to participant support and community integration.

What you'll do

• Build rapport with participants and safeguard their dignity, rights, and liberties
• plan and oversee services under Day Habilitation regulations
• assist participants with choices and goals
• plan activities and supervise implementation by Developmental Specialists and the interdisciplinary team
• support community integration
• attend ISP meetings as needed
• maintain assigned documentation
• provide personal care and physical assistance as needed
• follow regulations and agency policies
• and report suspected abuse or neglect as mandated.
