Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer role is onsite at customer locations in Kinston and Lumberton, NC. Compensation is $85,000–$130,000 per year. The engineer supports TARGAN systems at commercial poultry hatcheries, helping improve equipment uptime through service and preventive maintenance. The role independently diagnoses and resolves most equipment issues, performs repairs and preventive maintenance, and identifies potential failures before they cause downtime. Clear service documentation and coordination with customers, field operations, and engineering support reliable system performance.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair TARGAN WingScan and Vaccine Delivery Systems
• resolve most service issues independently and escalate complex problems
• support equipment installation and integration
• perform preventive maintenance
• identify wear and performance issues and communicate risks
• provide field data for condition-based maintenance
• identify recurring issues and failure trends
• communicate service updates to customer supervisors and operators
• complete Service Request Orders accurately
• document troubleshooting, parts, and service actions
• collaborate with field operations and remote support
• maintain tools, equipment, and service inventory
• follow safety procedures
• participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday support rotations as required.
